TOPOGRAPHIC SURVEYS

Through the use of a Geodimeter total station and professional survey software (Landscape® and Terramodel®) Archaeological Services WYAS is capable of carrying out topographic and earthwork surveys of over 1000 points per day.

Our range of services includes:

• Accurate tie in to Ordnance Survey or local grid
• Mapping of existing features (hedges, trees, buildings etc)
• Contour survey
• Earthwork interpretation and mapping
• Integration of data with other digital information
• Set-out of grids or trenches for further work
• CAD presentation of information scaled to requirement

The use of CAD for presentation purposes enables the results of this work to be integrated with results from geophysical prospection or excavation work.
