CONSULTANCY

The advent of Government planning policy guidelines concerning archaeology has significantly altered the framework within which archaeological work is undertaken in the UK. Archaeological Services WYAS has extensive experience in representing clients at all levels on a variety of projects.

A well-qualified team of experienced archaeologists is able to offer a wide range of professional advice in archaeological matters. A fast and confidential service, at competitive rates, is available for the provision of:

  • Research and advice on the archaeological implications of proposed developments prior to consulting the planning authority
  • Impact assessments
  • Project designs and mitigation strategies
  • Liaison with other organisations and special interest groups

Archaeological Services WYAS will endeavour to ensure that their clients achieve their objectives whilst satisfactorily meeting their cultural heritage obligations. Our multi-disciplinary team has experience of projects in a variety of rural and urban settings, including Scheduled Ancient Monuments, battlefield sites, highways, mineral extraction sites, pipelines, power lines, historic buildings, commercial development and the leisure industry.
